We have had such a busy year here, but there’s always time to celebrate recovery. We felt that it was time to throw a celebration event for those who have completed recovery in the last 12 months, or those who have reached their recovery goals.
Around 15 people came along to get a certificate from our wonderful service manager, with a round of applause from our staff! We are so proud of all their hard work, and it was so nice to see some faces of recovery that have not been in the service for a while.
We love planning events and getting the team and service user forum involved. Staff from Tilbury Douglas in Reading kindly provided all the wonderful food and drinks, plenty of pastries and drinks for people. We invited them to join us for the event to see the service and meet the team and people who use our service. They really enjoyed the time they spent with us, and we look forward to inviting them back next year.
As we come up to Christmas we are reflecting on the last year. We understand that it may be a hard time for lots of people. Acknowledging the hard work that people have done to achieve their goals and complete recovery is truly inspiring.
We are very proud of all the achievements they have made. We are grateful for all the hard work our wonderful team does in the service.
